WebExpenses employs security measures that
conform to industry best practice and use industry standard encryption
technologies.
Some of the standard security measures are
as follows:
User verification
To ensure that only the individual user
knows
their password, all passwords are system generated and encrypted and
must be changed at the first login. Additionally, your company
administrator can monitor the number of failed logins to an
individual's account. This increases system control and reduces the
risk of unauthorised access.
Role-based approval
WebExpenses enables the company
administrator to
assign roles to authorise each user so they can perform only specific
operations or access designated features within the application. This
roles-based process ensures that a minimum of three parties are
involved in the approval and processing of an expense report.
High security hosting
environment
WebExpenses hosts all operations at a
leading IT
services organisation, providing a highly reliable and secure
environment that includes the following features:
• Climate-controlled space
• Closed-circuit video surveillance
• Access cards and secure identification
• Uninterrupted power source
• 24 x 7 network monitoring
Our hosting partner provides a fast,
reliable
connection straight to a global network and interconnection with other
backbone providers is guaranteed.
Rigorous operational
procedures
Data is subject to regular multilevel
backups and
diligent system monitoring. Backups are stored in secure premises and
managed as part of the daily operations of the systems administration
staff.
Data privacy
In addition to complying with the United
Kingdom's
data protection bill, WebExpenses follows its own strict privacy
policy. On
a day-to-day basis, usernames, user passwords, email addresses,
approval hierarchies, client lists and vendor lists cannot be viewed by
WebExpenses staff and can only be viewed and altered by customers
themselves. We never share your data with outside parties.
