Webexpenses goes virtual with innovative global event

Using innovation and technology to make business simpler has always been at the core of webexpenses – and that includes how we hold our events.

This year, we applied these founding principles to our annual webexpenses’ event to find a smarter way to connect with our global clients, partners and users.

In the past, webexpenses connect has been a one-day conference held in London, UK. However, this created a number of barriers and limitations on who could benefit from the various updates, workshops and resources.

The solution is this year’s virtual connect event.

By registering you gain access to a month long series of online talks, product updates, workshops and competitions – all able to be viewed whenever and wherever you want.

Virtual connect will provide the full conference experience with a keynote talk by webexpenses’ CEO Adam Reynolds and exciting information on the latest product updates and some major plans for 2019.

So why go virtual?

There were five key reasons we chose to switch to an online approach:


As a growing company with clients across the globe, a virtual solution is the best way to ensure that all of clients and users can connect with us during the event. There will also be specific content for each region.


Webexpenses’ success is based on constantly looking for innovative ways to enhance our product. So that’s what we wanted to do with this event, to make sure we provide the best way for people to connect – where and when they want.

Time Factor

Time is a precious commodity in the business environment and we’re very conscious that many can’t devote a full-day to travel to a venue for an event. With this approach, the information is available for 30 days – from anywhere with an online connection.


Having a one-day event really restricts the way we can share information. There’s only so much you can fit into a day’s schedule. This approach gives us much more flexibility, along with a more convenient way to access the information.


We’re very conscious about our environmental responsibilities and always look for sensible ways to reduce our carbon footprint. This was one area where we could make a clear improvement by removing the need for multiple journeys into central London.

How will virtual connect work?

The event goes live on November 19th with all of the content being available for a period of 30 days.

Each session is no longer than 20 minutes, allowing them to easily viewed around existing schedules. Some of the sessions on offer include:

Product update with Sarah Hollender
System training with webexpenses’ implementation team
Tax management advice – region specific

Virtual connect will also include an online networking area for webexpenses users to connect and chat about the system, an event hall showcasing the services of our partners and a competition area – with the chance to win a tech hamper.
