How to Unlock the Power of the Cloud
Webexpenses helped to pioneer the use of cloud computing as an expense management solution. By passing on the benefits of the cloud to our clients throughout the world, we have become one of the UK’s fastest growing companies.
But it wasn’t always this way.
When we first launched in 2000, the term ‘cloud computing’ hadn’t yet been invented. It was a time when most people in the business world still viewed software as a service (SaaS) with scepticism, borne mainly out of lack of understanding.
It was a time when software was seen as something which came on a CD-Rom and needed to be loaded onto each and every computer within an organisation. Each installation would require a separate licence and need to be maintained, updated and serviced by an IT department.
A costly, inefficient and inflexible system making up scaling difficult.
But things have turned full circle. We now live in a world where cloud computing is the way we access so many of our applications and services. Webexpenses is just part of a cloud computing movement which includes the likes of Google Docs, Office 365, Trello, Evernote, Skype and many more.
So here’s our guide to how cloud computing can help your company to grow – to save costs, to increase efficiency and to unlock more flexible working practices.
