Webexpenses sponsors Project of the Year national award

We are proud to be sponsoring this year’s Project of the Year award to help celebrate the 10th year of the Payroll and Pensions Excellence Awards.

The national competition was first launched in 2003 by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) and has established itself as the benchmark for the best the industry has to offer.

The winners of the competition will be announced at a glitzy ceremony being held at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, created by billionaire Sir Terry Matthews.

Webexpenses is sponsoring the newly launched Project of the Year Award to find the team or individual who can demonstrate the most effective and beneficial project over the past year.

The winner will be the project where the co-coordinators can demonstrate why it was required and show exactly how successful implementation benefited the organisation.

Rachel Gregan, Webexpenses’ marketing manager, said: “It’s a new award category and something we were particularly interested in highlighting because we know from first-hand experience just how much of a boost a successful project can provide.

“We have had a number of important projects to handle over the past 12 months with a rebrand and updates to our software, so we appreciate the vital part they play in a healthy and vibrant business.”

Celebrating its tenth year, the CIPP awards were established to recognise individuals and organisations in the industry who demonstrate payroll and/or pensions excellence.

The awards ceremony is just part of a two-day event that also offers a range of talks, workshops, and discussions on issues affecting the industry as well as updates on the very latest in legislative changes.

CIPP was established as an official industry body in 1985 and was granted Chartered Status in November 2010. It currently has around 5,000 members.

The CIPP awards also included categories for an individual of the year and in-house payroll team of the year.

The event takes place at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales from the 26-27 September.
