Witney, Oxfordshire, UK –

On the 21st June, team Webexpenses embarked on a voyage in aid of their chosen charity, Cancer Research UK after raising over £8,000. With high targets in place, over a number of months fundraising for the charity involved a variety of activities such as promises auctions, bake-sales, sponsorships, and the outstanding generosity of family, friends, business partners and colleagues.

The challenge itself consisted of having to climb the three highest peaks in the UK which exclusively included Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. All this needed to be done within 24 hours including travel, food, water and pit-stops. The team completed the challenge in 23 hours and 11 minutes.

Webexpenses will continue to raise money for Cancer Research UK post-challenge and would like to encourage any business that wants to get involved in charity work to take part in such a unique and highly rewarding challenge.

Adam Reynolds, CEO, commented on the results of the challenge and the future aspirations of the business within the realm of meaningful CSR:

“This is definitely not the last big challenge we’ll be encouraging our team to get involved in to raise money for a good cause. As a business Webexpenses is becoming more and more dedicated to playing a part in causes that aren’t just reflective of what we offer as just a business with a product. I’d encourage anyone to get involved in any way you can, you won’t regret the outcome and your team will be even stronger for it.”

Webexpenses and its people have a drive and a commitment to CSR and this fundraising activity was one of several that the company has participated in this year.
