Miele freshens up its expense management with Webexpenses

Webexpenses is helping to save time and money for one of the world’s most trusted brands.

German-based appliance manufacturer, Miele, recently streamlined its management of employee expenses with a switch over to Webexpenses’ cloud-based solution.

It’s a change which has helped to transform the way the company manages and monitors the employee expenses of more than 400 workers – saving valuable time and money.

Webexpenses removes the need for any paper-based or manual processes, delivering all the benefits of real-time data, automated processes and centralized management.

‘Revolutionising’ the employee expenses process

Speaking to Webexpenses about the switch, Stephen Lister, Financial Controller of Miele, said:

Webexpenses is brilliant, it’s an online tool that has saved us a significant amount of time. Our sales team and technicians use the app and they think it’s great. It has revolutionised the expenses process for Miele. It has saved us so much time and money – you can’t put a price on time.

The improved efficiency has removed the need for a dedicated finance team member to manually process employee expense claims – freeing them up to carry out more productive tasks.

Stephen adds:

Before we brought in Webexpenses, we had someone solely working on expenses. Webexpenses has given this colleague back to us, we’ve been able to give them a different role within the business which has brought more value to Miele.

Since being established in 1899, Miele has set the standard for the durability, performance, design and service of domestic and commercial appliances. It’s maintaining these high standards that have helped the business to repeatedly scoop the Most Trusted Brand category in the Which? awards.

Setting the standard

The range of products Miele designs and manufacturers covers everything from cooking hobs and ranges to washing machines and vacuum cleaners. As well as domestic products, the company also provides appliances for commercial operations and medical facilities.

The company was launched in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann, beginning with the opening of a factory making cream separators. Worldwide, Miele now employs more than 20,000 people.
