Webexpenses Sponsor Tech Scholarship with Activate Learning

ELMO Webexpenses are the first finance technology business in Oxfordshire to sponsor a scholarship in partnership with Activate Learning and South Central Institute of Technology.

The scholarship is open to prospective students, 19+, in underrepresented areas including BAME, disabled, female, and those living in low participation postcode areas (POLAR). It aims to make programmes more accessible and open to a diverse group of young adults.

Webexpenses’ ultimate goal is to fully immerse the student into the scholarship to help them learn and develop core skills and set them up for a successful career in software development.

Liam, a previous Activate Learning student, will be returning to Webexpenses as a permanent finance team member this year. Before full-time employment, Liam completed a summer placement at the business through Activate Learning.

Webexpenses hopes to see the same success with the scholarship programme over the next year.

The application window is open now until Friday 8th July 2022. The scholarship will begin in September.
